Riley Takes First Truck Win @ Martinsville!

Martinsville, VA -- The CASCOR THL Truck Series made the trip to Martinsville Speedway in Martinsville, VA as well two weeks ago. Would we see another new face in victory lane? Or could any of the previous winners repeat at Martinsville?

Tyler Tucker would take the pole as Mike Husby started alongside on the front row to lead the field to the green flag. Tyler Tucker took the early lead in the race leading 16 laps during the event.

Once again it was a typical race at Martinsville and was slowed by several cautions.

Tyler Tucker would put up a good fight at the end finishing a very close 2nd, Mike Husby 3rd, Kyle Young 4th and Brent Sweet rounded out the top 5. Husby Still Undefeated @ Las Vegas!

Las Vegas, NV -- The CASCOR The High Line Truck Series returned to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway last Tuesday night. In the past two races held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (including SuperCup) driver/owner Mike Husby has been the only face in victory lane. Would we see this trend continue? Or could someone else make it to victory lane in Sin City?

Mike Husby was able to take the pole position with a lap of 30.612 as Brent Sweet started alongside just 3 hundredths of a second off the pole time.

The race would go flag to flag with six lead changes between four drivers (Mike Husby, Julian Madore, Wayne Osborne and Brent Sweet). Brent Sweet would try to stay out as long as he could late in the race to make it all the way on fuel and tires, but would come up a few laps short as Husby took the lead back with 18 laps to go and went on to win the Smiths 100 for the second time.

Julian Madore finishes 2nd, Wayne Osborne 3rd, Andrew Hayes 4th and Ben Althen rounded out the top 5. Brent Sweet ended up 6th, Curtis James 7th, Bertus De Jong 8th and Austin LaPlante rounded out the finishing order in 9th.

Next week the THL Truck Series also makes a stop at Martinsville Speedway for the Kroger 125. Will we see another new winner in victory lane? Or will Mike Husby be able to back up his run at Las Vegas? Find out on Tuesday March 6th, 2012 at 8pm EST, you won't want to miss any of the action!
