Tucker Sweeps Indianapolis


Indianapolis, IN -- Championship points leader Mike Husby entered LORP (Lucas Oil Raceway Park, more commonly ORP) with a massive 144 points lead over second place Brent Sweet, 172 over third place Thomas Mohl Jr., Who would come out with the momentum going into Pocono?

Tyler Tucker earned his first career pole to start the night off just under a tenth faster than outside pole sitter Mike Husby, who picked up his fourth straight front row start.

The night started off fast with Tyler Tucker picking up the early lead and pulling away from second place Mike Husby who found himself later in the run trying to fight off Mohl Jr. and Julian Madore. The first and which would turn out to be only caution of the night would fly on lap 28 which would allow drivers to come in and pick up fresh tires and fuel.

As the green flag dropped, Mike Husby would slip by Tyler Tucker who dropped back in hopes of saving tires for the final run of the evening. After Husby led the first 14 laps following the restart, Thomas Mohl Jr. would pass him and pull out to a very large lead. Mohl Jr. would lead the whole fuel run and 20 laps following green flag stops.

As the 25 lap to go mark approached, Tyler Tucker began hunting down Thomas Mohl Jr. who had just clinched the most laps led with 76. Tucker was able to get by Mohl and lead the final 20 laps on his way to his first truck series victory of 2011 and of his career in the AAA Insurance 150! Thomas Mohl Jr. 2nd, Julian Madore 3rd, Mike Husby 4th with Brent Sweet coming in 5th.

Mike Husby now leads by 149 points over Brent Sweet and 156 over Thomas Mohl Jr. heading into Pocono. Will he keep up his remarkable 2011 season? Find out Tuesday, August 9th in the Poconos!
